Summary
Boesen & Snow has an immediate opening for a paralegal. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and organizational skills, as well as a passion for providing top-notch legal support. As a Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys to prepare and manage cases, draft legal documents, and assist in various legal tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the firm.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Legal Document Drafting & Preparation: Assist attorneys in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, discovery requests, subpoenas, and correspondence. Ensure that documents are well-organized, properly formatted, and comply with relevant legal standards and procedures.
- Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research using online databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.), case law, statutes, regulations, and legal treatises to support case strategy. Summarize findings and present relevant case law or legal precedents in a clear, concise manner for use by attorneys in case preparation.
- Case File Management: Organize and maintain both physical and digital case files, ensuring all documents are properly indexed, easily accessible, and up-to-date. Assist in managing complex case files, including keeping track of important deadlines, filing requirements, and court rules.
- Discovery Process Management: Assist with discovery tasks, including the preparation and review of discovery documents, responses to interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and admissions. Organize and manage the review of large volumes of documents to ensure completeness and compliance with discovery obligations.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, assisting with gathering necessary information, providing updates on case progress, and answering general questions. Ensure clear communication between clients and the legal team and maintain accurate records of all client communications.
- Court Filings & Legal Submissions: Prepare and file legal documents with courts, administrative agencies, and regulatory bodies. Ensure timely filing and compliance with court rules, including electronically filing documents when applicable, and tracking any required deadlines.
- Legal Research & Case Analysis: In addition to general research, support attorneys by analyzing case law, statutes, regulations, and legal trends relevant to active cases. Provide summaries of legal opinions and their potential impact on case strategy. Assist attorneys in preparing case strategies based on legal research.
- Document Review & Analysis: Perform detailed review of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for inconsistencies, errors, or potential legal risks. Provide insights to attorneys for contract negotiations, revisions, or litigation strategy.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing attorney calendars, and coordinating meetings. Help ensure that attorneys stay on top of deadlines, billing, and other administrative aspects of case management.
- Legal Compliance & Regulatory Support: Support attorneys in ensuring that all legal filings and documents comply with relevant laws and regulations. Research and assist in the preparation of compliance reports and filings for regulatory agencies.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with regard to client information, case details, and internal firm matters. Ensure adherence to ethical standards and legal practices related to confidentiality and privacy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in health, pharmacy, or life sciences law.
- Skills:
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Proficient in legal research and case management software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Pay: $55,000-$75,000 salary, DOE

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, in Scottsdale office (9am-5pm)
- Occasional work on weekends and outside of business hours (work from home)
